Sara and Thad, A wedding with a Sunset…Erie PA

Well it’s that time again… I have been missing the blog and the feedback.  I was very fortunate to have the chance to shoot 4 weddings in 8 days as well as a handful of bridal sessions and engagement sessions.  So  now this means two things~#1 I have lots of great pictures and stories to share.  #2 I am in need of a game of “catch up”  With weddings I like to have the wedding photographed and posted for viewing within one week of the wedding.  I think sometimes I am as excited as the bride and groom to see the pictures.

I am going to share Last Saturday’s wedding of Sara and Thad.  I felt going into the their wedding that I knew a little about them from our engagement session.  After their wedding I now have a great idea why these two are perfect for each other!

Below we have Thad and his Dad… I like this picture because this was before the ceremony and I was getting ready to shoot a traditional picture.  Thad’s Dad was like my “right hand man”  Not because he was my helper but because he was the semi-pro photographer/videographer.  He later told me that he has years and years of footage from all his children and his father was also the same way so the history in images was pretty remarkable to think of.

The wedding party was all about having fun…like most.  This is a tradition picture with an untraditional lens to spice it up extra wide!

The importance of doing a few shots in the vineyard is something that needed to be done.  I learned that Sara is about the seventh generation of  grape, cherry, peach, and apple growers in the Harbor Creek area.  The Family has Burch Farms Growers.  They also produce a beautiful peach wine and a grape wine that was served at the reception.

I think the importance of the beach pictures is up there with the vineyard pictures.  Sara informed me that she has swam accross lake Erie~

Yes!!  Can you believe it??  If I remember correctly it was 26 miles from Canada to Westport Beach in Harbor Creek.  Below is the Beach area ahe swam into.

 reception: Erie Bayfront Convention Center

The Entrance and excitement of the reception was like no other I had seen.  Every Guest was participating and enjoying the love and ecitement of the new bride and groom as they entered the reception for the party of the evening.  The entertainment was enjoyed by all and provided be Michael John DJ service.
