She was raised in a musical family with her mom Emilie Engel being her first music teacher as well as a violinist in the Erie Philharmonic. Her older sister Julia also plays violin and viola. This group was great for gigging trios at weddings!
Not only does Nadine do weddings as a cellist, but she also assists me as a photographer for the illustrious Ever After Images! She’s got a pair of sharp ears for music and eyes for our wedding photography too.
Nadine went to Erie public schools, Harding Elementary School and Collegiate Academy. Now she’s getting her Bachelor’s Degree at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY in cello performance.
Nadine’s debut solo performance with an orchestra was when she was 15, playing the first movement of the Elgar Cello Concerto with the Erie Junior Philharmonic.
Now she’s graduated to the big kids’ orchestra playing the Rachmaninoff Vocalise.
